Who are the MuseScore team?

Our team is moved by music. MuseScore began life in 2002 as a notation program, and rapidly grew in popularity as a free, open-source alternative to existing software. MuseScore soon expanded into growing its online library, signing agreements with publishers to become the definitive site for digital sheet music.

We've always been passionate about removing the barriers to musical creativity. In 2017, we joined with the makers of Ultimate Guitar, Audacity and others to form Muse Group, with a mission to empower millions of creatives all over the globe.
